Adam Dziewirz ("we", "us", or "our") operates DwellMind (the "App"). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your personal information when you use our App.

Account Information

When you create an account, we collect:

Email address
Password (stored securely using industry-standard hashing)
Display name (if provided)

Smart AI Document Scanner Data

The App includes an AI-powered document scanning feature to help you track receipts, appliance warranties, and service documents. When you snap a photo or upload an image of a document:

The photo is processed temporarily in-memory solely to extract the due date, category, and title via secure Google Gemini AI APIs.
The image file is deleted immediately and permanently after parsing is complete. We do not store your document photos on our servers, nor do we use them to train AI models.

Usage Data

We may collect information about how you use the App, including:

Features you interact with
Time and date of your activity
Device information (operating system, app version)

User-Generated Content

Any content you create, upload, or store within the App (such as home maintenance tasks, schedules, appliance names, and checklists) is saved to provide you with the service.

How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

Provide and maintain the App
Authenticate your identity and secure your account
Process document text through AI to automate your home reminders
Improve and personalize your experience
Communicate with you about updates or issues
Comply with legal obligations

Third-Party Services

Our App uses the following third-party services:

Supabase (supabase.com) - for authentication, database, and file storage. Supabase processes data on servers managed by Amazon Web Services (AWS). Please refer to Supabase's Privacy Policy at https://supabase.com/privacy for more details.
Google Gemini AI API - used strictly for temporary text extraction from your scanned document photos. Data sent to Gemini API is processed securely and in-memory, and is not used for AI training purposes.
RevenueCat & Google Play Billing - used to process and manage your mobile subscriptions or in-app purchases (PRO tier). We do not collect or store your financial or credit card information; all payments are handled securely by the Google Play Store.

Household & Family Sharing

If you choose to use the Family/Household Sharing feature to manage your home together, you acknowledge and agree that your registered display name, task completion status, home activity log, and email address will be visible to other authorized members who have joined your specific Household space.

We do not sell, trade, or rent your personal information to third parties.

Data Storage and Security

Your data is stored securely using Supabase's infrastructure, which runs on Amazon Web Services (AWS). We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your personal data against unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction.

Data Retention

We retain your personal data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide you with our services. You may request deletion of your account and associated data at any time by contacting us.

If you submit feedback through our in-app feedback system, that feedback message will be retained to help us improve the App. If you subsequently delete your account, your user_id linked to that feedback will be permanently unlinked and changed to null, rendering the remaining feedback entirely anonymous.

Children's Privacy

Our App is not intended for children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we become aware that we have collected personal data from a child under 13, we will take steps to delete that information.

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the right to:

Access the personal data we hold about you
Request correction of inaccurate data
Request deletion of your data
Object to or restrict processing of your data
